One of Raytheon's student-workers from the 2019-2020 school year wrote an email to her workplace team to express her gratitude. A true testament to how powerful the SMHS-Raytheon relationship is.
"Hello Gina, HR team, and Labor Relations, it’s Z!
I wanted to take the time to let you all know how grateful I am for the wisdom and guidance you have shared with me during my time working at Raytheon with all of you. Right from the beginning all of you welcomed me with open arms and smiles making sure I felt comfortable and I am truly grateful to have such amazing co-workers and supervisors. I was able to learn so much about the company and about the importance of HR. I had the opportunity to meet so many new people, including engineers, and learn about the different roles they have at Raytheon. In this short amount of time working with all of you, I saw how valuable and important teamwork is. I really appreciate the fact that Raytheon gives opportunities for it’s employees to grow, and because of your guidance, I have been able to grow and mature professionally in the workplace setting. I will definitely miss the snack room, but I will especially miss all of you! Thank you for making me feel as an equal and not just a regular high school student.
Again, I would really like to thank all of you for your support towards me and San Miguel High School. It is because of you that students like me can have these opportunities to grow and learn. I understand that many of us are going through challenging times, especially now, but we can get through it together! I hope to see all of you next year! Thank you, once again."
