46th General Chapter Underway in Rome

The 46th General Chapter of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools kicked off on May 1, 2022 at the Generalate in Rome, Italy. 

San Miguel High School - a part of the SFNO District within the worldwide network of Lasallian educational centers - is able to benefit from information and resources that will be shared afterwards.





The three primary themes for the 46th General Chapter are:
  1. association for mission
  2. leadership, sustainability and governance
  3. and life of the Brothers.  
Over the next three weeks, the capitulants will follow a process to help discern areas of need and possibility, as well as think about their visions and responses for common goals.  

The results (which they title "Acts") will be published for use by Regions and Districts to develop local strategies and  action plans. This is where schools across the world, like San Miguel HS and our Twin School the Child Discovery Centre in Nakuru, Kenya will benefit. 

One of the main events, and responsibility, of the General Chapter will be to elect the new central government of the Institute: including the Superior General and his General Councilors from the five Regions.
