On May 5th the Spanish Department classes held a salsa making - and tasting - contest!
The Spanish department hosted their Salsa Contest today during lunch. All were invited to taste 15 different salsas and vote for the best one!
Because of COVID protocols, students made their salsas in their classrooms (which smelled delicious) instead of bringing them from home. Our three Spanish teachers have given up additional class time to allow the class competitions to occur. They worked hard to keep classrooms and preparation areas clean from period to period. The contest was moved outside due to the AP Statistics exam in the multi-purpose center.
Huge thanks to Ana, Maria, and Devlin not only for their dedication to their students but also for their wonderful efforts in keeping cultural ideas and practices relevant and engaging for our students and our community - they are a wonderful model for us during teacher appreciation week. We have much to be thankful for!
