Ms. Jaqueline (Jackie) Valencia
Corporate Coordinator, Growth & Retention

Jackie Valencia (San Miguel Class of 2016) returned to San Miguel High School as an alum in 2021, joining the Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) as a coordinator.

Ms. Valencia graduated from the University of Arizona in 2020 with a degree in Spanish, a concentration in Portuguese, and a Marketing minor.

When Ms. Valencia was a student at San Miguel, her favorite classes were in the Theology department. She was also involved in Yearbook and still sometimes helps Brother Martin and Yearbook with taking photos around campus. Ms. Valencia credits her time at San Miguel with helping her build skills such as communication, networking, public speaking, and organization.
As an SMHS alum, Ms. Valencia benefits from a unique perspective.

“I’ve been in the students shoes and I can relate with parents, since my parents have been and continue to be a part of the community," said Jackie. "I like to remind students that it is not them against the world right now. I know that it might feel like it is sometimes but its not.”

In her free time, Ms. Valencia likes to hang out with her dog Max (pictured with Ms. Valencia above), and cook delicious dishes.

Ms. Valencia's advice for the summer?: "Make good choices, stay hydrated, and rest!"
