Welcome to Vipers Perspective Gallery (Virtual) - Exhibition 1.

The following information tells you that you can learn from Deaf people through their sign language.

Does learning a language mean learning a culture?

Language isn't just the sum total of words, grammatical principles, and sentence construction, but also unique cultural norms, social systems, and cognitive processes. Understanding these cultural-specific contexts along with the linguistic principles of a particular culture is central to effective language acquisition.

How is language related to culture?

Language is one of the most important parts of any culture. It is the way by which people communicate with one another, build relationships, and create a sense of community.

Benefits of dialogue with other people

Learning how to think, how to be reasonable, how to make moral decisions, and how to understand another person's point of view.

Dialogue help learning

A dialogue sparks engaged learning through an open exchange of perspectives that deepens understanding of an issue or topic. The dialogue process promotes analysis of course content and encourages reflection.
