San Miguel Social Emotional Counselors - Here to help!

Happy first month back to school Vipers!

San Miguel Social Emotional Counselors, Ms. Burruel and Ms. Moreno are available on campus to support all students with their mental health needs. We are located in the Counseling Center across from the Corporate Work Study program.

Students are welcome to stop by for walk-ins during times of need, and will also offer support groups, crisis intervention, and community referrals. We have already started conducting check-ins with students to further assess your needs and hope to meet with all of you at least once this semester.

To help us better understand your needs and to provide groups and interventions that are the best fit, we have a Needs Assessment form.  Please complete this as soon as possible. There will be an incentive for all grade levels if 95% completion is reached!

Mrs. Moreno will be working primarily with 9th and 10th grade. She comes to us with a wealth of knowledge from a variety of clinical settings including immigrant children, families from southern Arizona, and children with neuro-developmental issues. She has several years of experience providing therapy in the Tucson community to diverse populations who battle with anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief and many other issues.
