Since 2016 the District of San Francisco New Orleans has occasionally offered retreats for Young Lasallian Professionals in different geographical regions of the District. Though no in-person retreat will be offered during this academic year, I am delighted to inform you of a virtual gathering that will be taking place for Young Lasallian Professionals. The Young Lasallian Professionals Virtual Meet-Up is intentionally geared to address the formation needs of Young Lasallian Professionals. The Institute defines a Young Lasallian as adolescents and young adults between the ages of 16-35 who are involved in the Lasallian Educational Mission and inspired by the example of Saint John Baptist de La Salle. Young Lasallian Professionals are our young teachers and staff between the ages of 22-35.
Responding to a need that was voiced to provide formation for this age group in particular, we are pleased to announce The Young Lasallian Professionals Virtual Meet-Up which will be taking place on Tuesday, January 30th at 3:30pm PT/ 5:30pm CT.
The objectives of our time together include the following.
- A guided listening session to allow Young Lasallian professionals to connect, network, reflect and share emerging needs
- a time to reflect and discern our Lasallian Vocation
- to invite participants to a deeper commitment to the mission of their schools
- to offer reflections on the role and responsibility of young professionals
