Happy feast day of San Miguel Febres Cordero and THANK YOU to all who came and celebrated our Fiesta de San Miguel yesterday. Gathering in prayer and celebration with our families for our patron saint was a perfect culmination of our community's values of generosity, inclusion, and joy.
Thank you to some key people who helped make the Fiesta a success. To Maria, Ana, and Helga for first proposing the idea of having a fiesta and continuing to help throughout the year, for June in contacting the bands and dance groups to provide spectacular entertainment last night, for Oralia and Veronica for passing out flyers to the parents in the morning, working on logistics and doing our huge Costco supply run, Erica with the banners and helping with food prep, Valeria with food prep and serving, Racheal, Reyna, and Reyna for helping organize and serve, and our grillers: Jose, Andres, Randy for keeping the grills hot and ready.
A special thanks to Br. Jesús and Dave for approving this event and agreeing to its vision.
This fiesta was a true community effort and our recent formation session of bringing in our hands and hearts to commitment was put into action at the fiesta. Relationship is at the heart of who we are as Lasallians and with our hands and hearts together we are truly joyful.
