The Junior service immersion retreat is an experience that involves Juniors engaging in hands-on service work within communities in need in Tucson.
The immersion retreats develop a connection to shared Lasallian values of service through and with community.
Through direct interaction with marginalized populations, Juniors gain a heightened awareness of social justice issues and the importance of solidarity.
Retreats empower individuals to become agents of change through the motto: Enter to learn, leave to Serve.
Here is a photo of the service immersion to San Xavier mission school where Juniors cleaned the back yard in preparation for the school reopening.
Other service sites included GAP ministry, Casa Alitas, and Felicia's Farm.
