  • Sunday the 3rd – Third Sunday of Lent / Welcome La Salle Academy Providence to EL Otro Lado On a day like today, 345 years ago, the meeting between Saint John Baptist de La Salle and Adrian Nyel took place, crucial for the origins of the Brothers of the Christian School. In the Memorial of Origins, De La Salle comments that “God, who governs all things with wisdom and gentleness, and who is not accustomed to force the inclination of men, wishing to commit me to take over entirely the care of the schools, did so in a totally imperceptible way and in a long time; so that one commitment led me to another, without having foreseen it at the beginning.” (#WeAreLaSalle)

Reflexión: ¿Cómo nos ayuda la destrucción del templo por Jesús a prepararnos a mirar hacia su pasión muerte, y resurrección?

Oración: Señor, al continuar con nuestra jornada cuaresmal, concédenos la fe para escuchar tu llamada y tentarnos el corazón para mantenernos enfocados en tu voluntad. Amen.

En el Memorial sobre los Orígenes, La Salle comenta que “Dios, que gobierna todas las cosas con sabiduría y suavidad, y que no acostumbra a forzar la inclinación de los hombres, queriendo comprometerme a que tomara por entero el cuidado de las escuelas, lo hizo de manera totalmente imperceptible y en mucho tiempo; de modo que con compromiso me llevaba a otro, sin haber previsto en los comienzos.” (#SomosLaSalle)

Como pueden ver, no hay muchas actividades esta semana, así es que se les recomienda que trabajen en los deberes que no han entregado con el permiso de los docentes a los que se los deben. No se les olvide apoyar a nuestros equipos de baseball y softball.
