Farewell to Brother Jesus

The loss of Brother Jesus Lara is deeply felt by all of us at San Miguel High School, as he was not only an exceptional leader but also a much-loved and respected figure in our community. During this difficult time, we want to express our gratitude to each of our corporate partners for their patience, understanding, and unwavering support as we grieve our loss.

On Tuesday, the San Miguel Community gathered on-campus to celebrate and remember the life of Brother Jesus, honoring his legacy and the profound impact he had on all who knew him. Together, we find strength in our shared memories and the enduring spirit of compassion and camaraderie that Brother Jesus instilled in us all.

Thank you for all helping to make our memorial mass for Brother Jesus a special occasion for us to mourn and to celebrate his life. Yesterday's mass spoke directly from the book of Ecclesiates as "a time to cry, and a time to laugh".

Thank you to all who helped in liturgy setup, from setting chairs, to arranging the altar, flowers, picture ordering, and display including the remarks by Brother Jack, tribute video by Racheal Bailey and Erica/Jose for including the Facebook live broadcast - there were over 1,000 views - a testament to the tremendous influence Brother Jesus has had on San Miguel High School.

As we continue to mourn and remember Brother Jesus, we will continue to live by his own words and not just be a family, but "a family with a purpose"
